Safeguarding and child wellbeing

Safeguarding at Lullaby Sea Ltd means putting child wellbeing, supervision, consent, communication and practical risk awareness at the centre of nursery service decisions.

Core approach

Clear expectations for safe care

Child wellbeing

Families are asked to share health, comfort, routine and developmental information that may affect daily care or settling.

Arrival and collection

Children should be signed in and collected by agreed adults. Changes to collection plans must be communicated clearly and in advance where possible.

Parent consent

Permissions may be needed for practical matters such as emergency contact, care notes, photographs, outings or medication where relevant.

Incident communication

Accidents, incidents or wellbeing concerns should be communicated to parents or guardians promptly and recorded proportionately.

Privacy

Family and child information is handled for enquiry, service delivery, support and record-keeping purposes. It is not sold.

Emergency contacts

Parents or guardians should provide current contact details and tell us quickly if names, numbers, medical notes or permissions change.

Supervision

Practical safeguards during the day

Care routines should be age-appropriate, supervised and responsive to the needs of each child. Spaces, activities and transitions are considered with safety, comfort and developmental stage in mind.

  • Suitable supervision for play, rest, meals and transitions.
  • Clear communication about allergies, medical needs and comfort routines.
  • Attention to safe handover and agreed collection arrangements.
  • Prompt action where a child appears unwell or distressed.
